Its morning time. The sunlight is just half awake. Everybody is on with their respective chores. Nand Baba is leaving for the great banyan tree on the centre chowk of Gokul for a meeting with other senior Gops of Gokul. Yashoda maiyya is busy churning her buttermilk. Some Gopis are on with the cleaning work of Nandalaya. Some Gops are in the cattle shed milking the cows.

Infant Kaanha has just opened his eyes after a pleasant sleep. The effect of a beautiful dream is radiant in His smile. Cham Cham Cham-He walks out of the bedroom and hops to Mother Yashoda, gives her a hug and sits unto her laps. Mother Yashoda hugs Him warmly, slides her hands on Kaanha’s hair, sets them, kisses His forehead and gets back to her churning.

Sitting in the laps, Kaanha watches the activities going on in the courtyard. Pigeons are seen in a small area of the courtyard, pecking on the grains for their fast growing young-ones. Some monkeys are seen hopping from one branch to another, whooping and making faces at each other. The song of a pair of peacocks sitting on the wall, makes the aura sweeter.

A small black mirthy calf is jumping and running from one end of the cow-shed to another and enjoying the new day. Kaanha is filled with joy, on looking at the calf play. The calf too like Kaanha being black, Kaanha feels it is a friend who is calling Him to play. Kaanha runs across the courtyard and hugs His new friend round its neck. The calf, scared with the sudden action runs towards its mother for cover. Kaanha feels the enthusiastic friend wants Him to come and play with it in its home. Kaanha catches the tail of the calf and follows it. The calf, alarmed, hastens towards the shed. Kaanha, now not able to keep up with the pace of His over enthusiastic friend, tumbles. But He has got a firm grip of His friend’s tail. The calf is running as fast as it can. Kaanha, not able to gain control over Himself and stand up again on His feet, glides on the soft sand of Vraj as the merry friend pulls Him across to its home. Kaanha is full with dust, especially the body below the torso.

Kaanha seems to enjoy the ride and is laughing his heart out. His laughing sounds like the energetic morning chirp of the birds. Everyone leaves the work in hand and stops to see the heart-cheering scene. The calf runs to its mother and suckles mother cow’s teats. Kaanha feels his friend is inviting Him for a feast. Kaanha welcomes the offer and start suckling one of the the available teats. Mother cow welcomes the new friend of its calf. She does not differentiate between both the black calves. Turn by turn she licks the body....of her calf ....and then ....of her new son.

Everyone is overfilled with emotions looking at the love of this unique mother and son relationship.

Jai Sri Krishna Pranpyara Vaishnavs,

I had earlier put this in the "Leela" forum (but it seems that it Satsang Forum is always so happening that it overshadows othe forums... Wink ).

I have represented it here again. I hope you liked it.
