Jai Shree Krishna
And
Jai Jai Shree Gokulesh,

Thank you, Inaxiji, for posting the article and what happened to your Aram? I now have encrypted the files and put the password, so there, one over you.

Thank you everyone for appreciating the article and here is the part of the file Inaxi missed when posting the above article. Congratulation Sitalji for encouraging Inaxi to steal my article, what an influence...hehehe.Enjoy.

As I said that Shree Mahaprabhuji did say sarva bhaveso bhajaniya shree vrajadhipaha’, which loosely translated as :

One should be doing the Vraj Adhipati (the king of Vraj) Shree Krsna seva with every permutation. The Sarva Bhava here is various combinations and there are mainly three different meanings of ‘Sarva Bhava’, various combinations and its permutation.

Shree Yamunaji does not segregate all these Bhava when she ask Thakorji to admit these souls into Leela (auspicious games). As I said above that there are, at least, three different meanings for Sarva Bhava:
    (1) The first bhava is to of Thakorji being the soul’s protector (Jiva na rakshak), He is the saviour (Jiva na Palak), He is soul’s inspiration (Jiva na preraka), He is the friend (Jiva na mitra), He is the one who bestows all the grace (Sarva fal data ), He is the Guru and every thing is Him (Sarva kai prabhuj che). So this kind of Bhava is known as Sarva Bhava.
    (2) Living and non-living entity (jada chetnatmak) is god, the world and universe (Srusti-roop) is god Himself and nothing else. This is the second way of understanding Sarva Bhava.
    (3) Soul (atma), body (deha), senses (indriyo), life (prana), mind (antahkarana), family (parivaar), house (ghaar), money (dhaan), assets (sampati) etc., whatever a Bhakta possesses is all belongs to god, he is in everything. This kind of Bhava is also known as Sarva bhava.

All three meanings are accepted in Prabhu Bhakti, hence it does not matter which Bhava a sevak has adopted from above to do seva. What is important is all three Sarva Bhava are of God or God Himself, that means one should understand the swaroop of Thakorji and do the seva.

All this Bhava will Ofcourse, create different Bhava levels in seva, which is why Shree Yamunaji will not rest till all the different Bhava of Bhakti is not accepted from Bhakta by Thakorji. She will not rest till Shree Thakorji has acknowledged and welcomed these Bhakta in Nitya or general leelas. That is why Shree Hariraiji Prabhucharan wrote “cheet main taba parata chain”.

When Thakorji accepts the humble request by Yamunaji, she is well excited and fulfils the promise, her promise of ‘Piyoso karata sen.’ In materialistic world a gesture of going to bed entails lust and vileness, but Shree Hariraiji Prabhucharan explains that after studying Yamunaji’s swaroop and Shree Thakorji’s swaroop, the love between these two prominent deity is pious and auspicious, is not classified as lust or vulgar. The love between these two swaroop is not crude or obscene, particularly with regards to love making and bodily function. This act between Krsna and Yamunaji is not a tasteless or ostentatious. It does not lack refinement and moderation.

Suriya Putri, the daughter of the sun is very close to Thakorji to suggest, or do humble prank of black mail. When writing this piece about Yamunaji I could not resist sharing the information I read in a book called ‘Classic Myth and Religion’. In Greek mythology, the ancient personified goddess of river called ‘Eos’, the daughter of Theia and the son-god Hyperion. Homer in his book called Odyssey 5.1, wrote about her formulaic epithets are ‘rosy-fingered’ and saffron-robbed, reflecting the lovely shades dawn sky (compares to shyam colour of Yamunaji’s water) and while the Sun himself has four-horse chariot (compare this with seven-horse chariot of Sun in Hindu mythology), these horses were called Lampus, Shiner, Phaethon and Blazer.

It was amazing to read this piece of information. The descriptive words and phrases further highlighted feature and quality of Eos. Her mythology centres on her role as a lover and seized the Trojan prince Tithonus to be her heavenly gigolo and leaves bed when the day breaks in book 5 of Odysses and by whom she became the mother of Memnon, the eastern warrior-prince and Trojan ally.

Back to our piece of writing, yes as I was saying that Shree Yamunaji and Shree Thakorji’ s love is pious and auspicious. Yamunaji talks about going to bed with Thakorji, but this is only when Thakorji promises to take the vaishnav into leela. This condition of Shree Yamunaji is her special character and this element is called ‘Tatsukh’. Tatsukh element makes their love as pure, pious and auspicious. She does all this for others (vaishnavs) and such gesture of Tatsukh has highlighted by Shree Hariraiji Prabhucharan.

She does not indulge in this act of love making for herself, but uses it for other’s benefit. This is a unique quality, a motherly love that induces husband to make the happiness for her children (vaishnavs) . That is why Pushtimargiya vaishnavs respect her and named her as Yamuna Maiya (Yamuna Mother).

This characteristic is not found in any other Thakorji’s Svaminiji and that is why Vaishnavs know her as Yamuna Maharani or Yamuna Maiya. Radhaji is known to ‘Radha Rani’. In the above stanza we see her happiness in doing good for Vaishnavs and also get pleasure to make both Thakorji and Vaishnavs happy.

Jai Shree Krishna

Sitalji thank you for asking questions about bhojay and bhokta. As a result we are now able to understand the role of bhojay and bhokta and how Yamuna Maiya (our guardinan Angel) looks after us, puts our happiness first. We have also learnt three different meanings of ‘Sarva Bhava’.

Pushtidasji, throughly enjoyed reading the bhava of the first stanza. I appreciate that you are very busy but hope that you will post next aritcle very soon. Thanking you in anticipation.

Jai Shri Krishna

I have got a very nice book depicting glories of Yamuna Maiya called "Jayati Shri Yamune" which contains translation for these ektalis padas. This book is in Gujarati. I will attempt to translate the explanation of these padas by the grace of Hari-Guru-Vaishnavs. I apologise in advance for any errors.

Introduction of these padas is already posted previously so I will only put a gist of the padas' introduction from the book.

The ektalis padas contain the description of the bliss showered by Shri Yamunaji on the devotees (nij bhakto). Shri Yamunaji blesses the devotees with the divine love towards Thakorji and Herself thereby leading to asakti (attachment to God) and vyasan dasha (strong passion for attaining God).

Each group of 8 padas contain description of love, asakti, vyasan, phal (fruit of devotion) and phalanubhav (attainment of phal). Each pada is linked with its prior pada (of course except the first one Smile )

Jai Shri Krishna

Thank you for the encouragement Sitalji, Vasantji and Manishji. Here is the meaning of the first pad.

In the first pad, Shri Hariraiji describes the swaroop of Yamunaji, especially Her immense love for Pushti souls.

In saraswat era souls were separated from Shri Thakorji. Shri Yamunaji is engaged in countless lovely leelas with Thakorji. Even at the time of her leelas with Thakorji, she constantly thinks about these separated souls. She is so merciful! She is happy only when Thakorji promises her to accept those souls and give them all the happiness. Lucky us Very Happy

Shri Yamunaji bestows her infinite grace on souls who merely chant her name. Thakorji is very pleased with the devotees who pray to Shri Yamunaji and take her water thinking about leelas. The devotees who are always thinking about her divine form are most dear to Thakorji. Several examples illustrate Shri Yamunaji’s grace on devotees.

Shri Yamunaji has decided to stay on the earth till all divine souls are back with Thakorji. She has the power to free the souls from all types of fears and worries. She bestows her infinite grace and love on her devotees. Shri Hariraiji says that that anyone who will sing praises of Shri Yamunaji will definitely attain the invaluable wealth namely Shri Thakorji.

By knowing such loving and caring qualities of Shri Yamunaji, it is but natural that one falls in love with her.

Please feel free to correct any mistakes I may have made or add more. I will add vivechan on this pad shortly.

Jai Shri Krishna

Thank you Vasantji and Sitalji. Here is the vivechan on the first pad.

Shri Yamunaji is very merciful and is very easy to please. Even when Yamunaji and Thakorji are engaged in various leelas enjoying each other’s company with indescribable happiness, even in those most beautiful moments she thinks about her souls; the souls who have been separated for thousands of years. She puts her devotees even before her beloved Shri Krishna. She always comes up with novel ways of pleasing Shri Krishna and enhancing His pleasure. But even more than that, she has the sukh of her devotees at her heart. Thakorji is eternal supreme bliss personified. She wants her devotees to be able to enjoy the bliss with Thakorji as well. She saddens at the memory of her separated souls. When Thakorji sees her sad, He cannot bear it. So He promises to Shri Yamunaji that He will admit the separated divine souls into leelas and then our beloved Yamunamaiya is at peace.

Shri Yamunaji is capable of uplifting even the worst of the sinners. She is extremely merciful. There is a beautiful kirtan depicting this quality of hers.

Jagat mein Shri Yamunaji param krupaal |
Vinati karat turant suni lini bhaye mope dayaal ||1||
Jo koi majjan karat nirantar taate darpat hai yamkaal |
Brajpatiki ati pyaari, kaalindi smarat hote nihaal ||2||

If one merely chants her name, there is no doubt that she will definitely bestow her immense grace. She bestows her grace on us various ways. The first boon (siddhi) she gives is a body that is fit to server beloved Thakorji. This allows one to perform seva with proper devotion. When one is engrossed in seva, then she gives the second boon (siddhi) of being able to observe Thakorji’s amazing leelas.

When our beloved Thakorji performs various leelas with all gopis, bliss pours out of His body as sweat. After these leelas on the banks of Shri Yamunaji, Thakorji enters the waters of Shri Yamunaji with all the gopis. This time the bliss from his body and the water particles combine. Shri Yamunaji has always blissful and that bliss was multiplied by the bliss from Thakorji. When a devotee baths in her water or takes her water, Shri Yamunaji blesses that devotee by making him eligible to enjoy the leelas (third siddhi). This devotee is very dear to Thakorji just like the gopis. When the devotee is always fixated on the leelas and always prays to the divine form of Shri Yamunaji, she gives the fourth siddhi by which the devotee can see/enjoy Thakorji’s leelas every where. Thus, the one prays to Shri Yamunaji in all 4 ways; chanting of her name, observing her form (darshan), bathing in her waters / taking her water (sparsh) and mediating on her attains all siddhis. Even Thakorji loves such devotees and follows him everywhere. There is no surprise in that.

Shri Yamunaji gives eternal bliss to Thakorji and the devotees by performing countless leelas. She removes all types of obstacles from the path of her devotees. She has taken oath to ensure that all the separated souls on this earth can enjoy thakorji’s leelas. She is staying on this earth for the sake of her devotees. She has committed to Thakorji that she will not leave till even one separated soul is on this earth. She will grace them to be able to go back to their original abode.

One who knows her such loving aspects towards her devotees is bound to love her. Her grace is easy to obtain. She is capable to free us from all the worldly sorrows and to remove the barriers from the path of attaining Thakorji. It is beyond doubt that if Shri Yamunaji is pleased with us, Shri Thakorji will be pleased with us too Very Happy
Bolo, Shri Shyam Sundar Yamune Maharani ki Jai.

Examples of her grace are illustrated in lives of 84 vaishnavs, 252 vaishnavs and other bhagavadiys. Dear vaishnavs, please give some names in whose stories Shri Yamunaji’s grace is shown.

Jai Shri Krishna,

Very interesting Zankhanaji.

One of the varta's is about Kishoriba-ee who was graced by Shri Yamunaji on only reciting half a shlok of Yamnastak so we can imagine if one recites the full Yamnashatak how much grace will he/she get.

Kishoriba-ee was also given charvit tambul by Shri Gusainji and In her next life she was even graced by being the Vahuji of Shri Gokulnathji.

Thank you Vasantji for adding one of the names. I was not aware of the next life of Kishoriba-ee, the Vahuji of Shri Gokulnathji. Do you have more details on this prasang?

Dear Vaishnavs, please contribute by giving other vaishnavs names.

Jai Shree Krishna

Thanks Zankhanaji, that was a lovely posting. Another example is of the Sanarya Brahmin, Shree Yamunaji could not bear his distress & anxiety and appeared befor him on a large lotus. This way he crossed the river on Shri Yamunaji's Lotus.
